Yuri Lunacharsky (Kaliningrad, 1978-2008)

Yuri Lunacharsky was a talented young Russian artist who died in 2008 at the age of 30 without ever having exhibited his work. He created small energetic objects made out of material without value. In addition, he committed seemingly spontaneous public sculptural interventions in Kaliningrad which he captured photographically.

 

Dutch artists Topp & Dubio posthumously gave him an international platform by organizing his debut exhibition in The Netherlands and making a catalogue on his work. Since then they decided to take care of his legacy for the rest of their lives. This website is a result of that commitment.
